The PACU Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. The PACU RN monitors patients during the immediate postoperative period, assesses and manages pain, identifies and responds to complications, and ensures a safe transition to the next level of care. This role requires strong critical thinking skills, rapid assessment abilities, and effective communication with physicians, surgical teams, patients, and families.
