Salary: $36.42 per hour Location: Health Sciences Position Status: Part-time ( 9 month position) Hours: Varied (less than 25 hours per week) Position Number: 870003/70-179 FLSA Status: Non-exempt POSITION SUMMARY: Health Services is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse. The purpose of this position is to assist the medical office in duties that support patient care and related tasks and procedures as directed by clinicians and nurses, policies, execution of point-of-care laboratory testing and all related Quality Control requirements and instrument sterilization; and to assist with duties such as telephone operations, front-reception window, and check-out; as well as immunization verification procedures. The staff at Duquesne University Health Services are required to have the TEAMS app downloaded and accessible on their mobile phone and laptop. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for Direct Patient Care including Triage/Vitals/Rooming/POC testing/Lab Testing. Responsible for front office duties including Incoming/Outgoing phone calls. Responsible for contacting patients regarding lab results/follow-up/referrals etc. Responsible for management of International students and Pre-Clinical Health Requirements for students entering clinical rotations. Completes other duties as assigned.
