Description

Join Our Allergy Team!
Are you a nurse who enjoys variety, hands-on patient care, and learning new skills? Are you looking for a position where no two days are exactly alike? Our Allergy Clinic may be the perfect fit for you!

We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate, and motivated nurse to join our Allergy team!

This is not your typical clinic nursing position! You'll have the opportunity to work closely with an allergist, perform specialized diagnostic testing, administer allergy injections, and help patients find relief from allergies, asthma, and other conditions.

From performing pulmonary function tests to assisting with allergy skin testing and administering injections, this role offers a rewarding combination of hands-on nursing, specialized skills, and meaningful patient relationships.

No previous allergy experience? No problem! We welcome nurses who are eager to learn, grow, and develop new skills through training and competency development.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Allergy Clinic Nurse, you'll enjoy a variety of responsibilities, including:

  • Patient Care: Room patients, obtain vital signs, review medical histories, and assist the allergist during clinic visits and procedures.
  • Specialized Diagnostic Testing: Perform pulmonary function tests (PFTs) and assist with administering allergy skin testing in collaboration with the allergist.
  • Allergy Treatments: Prepare and administer allergy immunotherapy injections, monitor patients for reactions, and provide treatment education.
  • Medication Coordination: Complete prior authorizations for allergy medications, assist with refill requests, and coordinate with pharmacies and insurance companies.
  • Patient Education: Help patients understand their allergies, asthma management, medications, testing, and treatment plans.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside the allergist and clinic team to coordinate patient care, maintain supplies, and support smooth daily operations.

All clinical responsibilities are performed in accordance with nursing scope of practice, provider orders, organizational policies, and validated competencies.

Hours/Shifts
64 hours biweekly, day shifts, Monday to Friday.

Compensation
Hourly wage range: $32.67-$48.83. BSN hires are eligible for an extra $1/hour. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.
