Registered Nurse Transfer Center

- Location: Remote - Must be within 1 hour of Milwaukee, WI
- Department: Transfer Center
- Schedule: Night shift | 7pm - 7am | Full-time
- Facilitate patient movement across markets based on acuity, bed availability, and service requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure appropriate levels of care.
- Connect requesting physicians with specialty consultants and maintain relationships with referral sources.
- Assist and maintain records with pre-registration, insurance verification, and overall care processes for process improvement purposes.
- Monitor status changes and relay pertinent medical reports to admitting physicians and nursing units.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
- Bachelors in Nursing
Additional Preferences:
- 2+ years Emergency Department (ED) experience, charge nurse or some type of leadership
