- Evaluate patients with respiratory needs to design and implement customized care plans, ensuring the treatment type and frequency align perfectly with their specific diagnosis.
- Manage advanced respiratory care and life-support equipment, monitoring performance and patient response to ensure every breath supports optimal recovery.
- Respond as a vital member of the emergency resuscitation team, providing life-saving interventions and respiratory expertise during high-pressure "code" situations.
- Advocate for patient progress by monitoring clinical changes and communicating updates to the medical team, ensuring medications and treatments are adjusted for the best possible outcomes.
- Empower patients and their families through dedicated education, providing the clarity and community resources they need to manage their health condition confidently.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted.
- Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
