Job Title: Social Worker
Location: Toronto Immigration Holding Centre (3 days/week)
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday (3 hours/shift)
Reports To: Manager, Clinical Practice
PAY- $45/hr
Position Summary
Bayshore Northern Staffing is in search of a Registered Social Worker interested in PART TIME work to join a healthcare clinic that provides medical services for all clients of various risk levels. This includes but is not limited to: adult males, adult females, families, pregnant women, 2SLGBTQI+ individuals, minors, persons suffering from a medical condition or disability, addictions, persons with suspected or diagnosed mental illness, and victims of human trafficking.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Providing personal care assessments.
- Providing individual counselling and therapy.
- Evaluating and monitoring individual progression.
- Maintaining and updating records;
- Making referrals to medical professionals, when appropriate; and,
- Providing awareness about external resources for continuing support.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years, working as a Social Worker.
- Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Social Work from an institution indicating the program has been accredited by the Canadian Association Social Work Education.
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
All candidates will be required to obtain and show proof of:
- A valid RELIABILITY STATUS security clearance (request form and fingerprint form will be provided by Bayshore and full reimbursement)
- A Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) (must be within one-year)
- Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) Certification (must be within two-years)
