For our Client/US cloud services company/ we are currently seeking a remote, full-time Cloud Engineer who can perform tasks related to Terraform, Kubernetes, and mid-level cloud tasks. This engineer will be performing tasks related to 1-3 client projects for our professional and managed services divisions.

Responsibilities

  • Be a part of the team meetings & knowledge exchanges.
  • Comfortable performing requirements analysis, interfacing with stakeholders of various levels, and documenting solutions
  • Provide product or service technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Assist in architecting and managing all types of growing applications/infrastructure
  • Monitor alerts/incidents & act immediately on them during the shift, be available after hours if on-call
  • Follow alerting support communication escalation procedures (ie client communication, RFOs, etc)
  • Contribute to a growing database of documentation surrounding infrastructure and applications hosted.
  • Analyze and resolve problems associated with the operating systems servers, hardware, applications, and software.
  • Provides product or service technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Working with the entire team to define new efficient practices for current and newly deployed infrastructure.
  • Working on technology projects to drive them to final succession

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP (minimum 2-3 yrs with one of the two cloud providers)
  • Building CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or Codefresh)
  • Configuration Management experience (Ansible)
  • Monitoring tools (Datadog, Zabbix, Elk, Grafana, Cloudwatch, Stackdriver, Nagios, etc.)
  • Hands-on with Containerization (Docker)
  • Orchestration (Kubernetes, Rancher) (minimum 2-3 yrs)
  • Practical production experience using Terraform (minimum 2-3 yrs)
  • Experience using Atlassian JIRA to manage project tasks
  • Linux Systems Administration
