Project


We are looking for an experienced and versatile Functional Analyst within a strategic financial market infrastructure project.

The platform is responsible for registering securities, maintaining ownership records, and handling the financial settlement of transactions for all securities traded on financial markets in Norway. The solution supports the registration of ownership changes for shares, bonds, and other financial instruments, while ensuring accurate processing of transaction-related cash flows.

Responsibilities you'll have

  • Support prioritization of business and technical initiatives based on product roadmap and business objectives
  • Plan and coordinate team activities from both short-term and long-term perspectives
  • Monitor delivery progress and support successful execution of planned work
  • Resolve planning conflicts, dependencies, and delivery challenges
  • Gather, analyze, document, and manage business and functional requirements
  • Write and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, story decomposition, and story mapping
  • Perform functional analysis related to securities processing and Corporate Actions events
  • Analyze system behavior, business processes, integrations, and data flows
  • Prepare and coordinate releases together with delivery teams
  • Support acceptance testing and validate delivered functionality against business requirements
  • Report project progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery status
  • Create and maintain business and technical process models using UML and BPMN
  • Translate complex business needs into clear, implementable requirements
  • Contribute to end-to-end product delivery in Agile environments

Expected competences and knowledge

  • Proven experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role
  • Strong experience managing and refining product backlogs
  • Experience supporting prioritization and planning activities in Agile environments
  • Ability to assess requirement complexity, delivery feasibility, and implementation effort
  • Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing requirements throughout the product lifecycle
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working closely with cross-functional delivery teams
  • Strong knowledge of UML and business process modeling
  • Experience using BPMN for business and process analysis
  • Experience with release planning and coordination
  • Knowledge of acceptance testing and product validation processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good SQL knowledge
  • Fluent English

Nice-to-have

  • Experience within financial services, capital markets, securities processing, clearing, settlement, or depository services
  • Knowledge of Corporate Actions processing
  • Experience working with securities ownership registration and settlement processes
  • Understanding of post-trade systems and financial market infrastructure
