Regulatory Affairs & Licensing Manager
You will lead Coins' regulatory strategy, licensing execution, and compliance alignment in Thailand. You will monitor and interpret regulations from the SEC, BOT, and AMLO, assessing their impact on products and operations, and advise management and product teams on regulatory feasibility, requirements, and risk implications. You will lead end-to-end regulatory licensing processes, prepare submissions, and manage communications with regulators while maintaining strong relationships with them. You will handle inquiries, audits, inspections, and periodic reporting, and develop internal compliance frameworks, policies, SOPs, and AML/CFT requirements. You will coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Product, Engineering, and Finance teams, draft regulatory strategy reports and position papers, identify regulatory risks early, and represent the company in regulatory dialogues, consultations, and industry engagements.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret regulations from SEC, BOT, and AMLO and assess their impact on products and operations
- Advise management and product teams on regulatory feasibility, requirements, and risk implications
- Lead end-to-end regulatory licensing processes, including preparing submissions and managing regulator communications
- Maintain strong relationships with regulators and handle inquiries, audits, inspections, and periodic reporting
- Develop and maintain internal compliance frameworks, policies, SOPs, and AML/CFT requirements for Thailand
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Product, Engineering, and Finance to ensure regulatory alignment
- Draft regulatory strategy reports, position papers, and consultation responses for policy developments
- Identify regulatory risks early and provide clear guidance to internal stakeholders
- Represent the company in regulatory dialogues, consultations, and industry engagements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in Law, Public Policy, Business, or related fields preferred
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in regulatory advisory, licensing, compliance, or legal within financial services, fintech, or consulting
- Strong understanding of Thai SEC, BOT, and AMLO regulations covering digital assets, payments, e-money, and AML/CFT
- Experience managing licensing applications or preparing regulatory submissions
- Excellent analytical, research, and regulatory interpretation skills
- Strong written communication skills for drafting filings, policies, and strategic documents
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple regulatory projects in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and ability to build relationships with regulators and internal stakeholders
- Native or fluent Thai language with strong professional English communication
