Regulatory Compliance Manager
A modern digital bank is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Manager to lead and promote a strong compliance culture. This role will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards, overseeing the banks adherence to applicable regulations. The manager will establish effective frameworks and procedures to identify, manage, and mitigate compliance risks, ensuring financial and reputational protection. Additionally, they will support the Regulatory Compliance Head, CCO and senior stakeholders in managing compliance and regulatory risks.
Responsibilities:
- Review, issue, and distribute regulatory updates from BSP, AMLC, and PDIC.
- Track submission status of periodic regulatory reports from Business Units (BUs).
- Act as DCORO in the absence of the Regulatory Compliance Head.
- Prepare initial drafts of reports for PH and Group committees.
- Send reminders, monitor, and/or submit reports to BSP, AMLC, or PDIC.
- Assist in issuing regulatory advisories to Business Units.
- Follow up on compliance status for BSP, AMLC, or PDIC regulations.
- Coordinate communication with BSP, SEC, or PDIC as directed.
- Assist with materials and meetings during BSP examinations.
- Maintain COs document database and ensure proper filing and accessibility.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 3+ years of experience in banking, focusing on general or regulatory compliance
- Strong knowledge of banking products, services, and regulations in the Philippines
- Solid understanding of the regulatory landscape in the Philippines
