Regulatory Compliance Officer

You will support the Chief Compliance Officer by ensuring regulatory compliance across business units. You will develop risk assessment programs, identify compliance gaps, recommend corrective actions, deliver training, maintain policies, supervise compliance teams, manage budgets, report on initiatives, oversee compliance programs, and assist with internal and external audits.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations across business units
  • Define regulatory compliance requirements and develop annual compliance risk assessment programs
  • Identify compliance risks and recommend solutions and implementation strategies
  • Provide compliance training to compliance managers
  • Review and revise compliance policies
  • Coordinate with internal audit and risk management departments
  • Supervise guide and counsel compliance teams
  • Monitor compliance strategies initiatives and action plans
  • Oversee funding sources and budgeting within compliance units
  • Report compliance initiatives corrective actions and reviews to the Chief Compliance Officer
  • Manage the Regulatory Compliance Team
  • Ensure business operations remain within legal and ethical boundaries
  • Execute compliance programs to identify areas vulnerable to non-compliance
  • Assist BSP internal auditors and external auditors with periodic audits

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in law finance business management or a related field
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in a Compliance Officer role
  • Good knowledge of legal requirements and procedures
  • People management experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
