Regulatory Examination Manager
You will lead federal bank examinations for Square Financial Services and other Block affiliates. You will act as the primary contact for federal regulators, coordinate examination responses across stakeholders, manage workstreams from initial requests through remediation, and maintain regulatory and examination knowledge across cycles.
Responsibilities
- Lead federal bank examinations of Square Financial Services, including FDIC and Utah holding-company examinations
- Manage examinations of Block and its affiliates across federal agencies
- Serve as the primary contact for federal regulators during and between examination cycles
- Coordinate stakeholders to maintain examination readiness, respond to regulator requests, and support regulatory approvals
- Lead examination workstreams from the First Day Letter through post-examination remediation
- Maintain institutional knowledge of regulatory history and examination records
Requirements
- 8+ years of direct experience in regulatory examination management or regulatory affairs in financial services
- Experience with federal bank examinations
- Experience managing FDIC examinations from the bank side, including preparation, examiner communication, and post-examination follow-through
- Experience with OCC examination and oversight frameworks preferred
- Experience building and maintaining working relationships with regulators
- Familiarity with bank partnership models and related regulatory obligations
- Experience coordinating cross-functional examination responses
- Organizational and project management skills
- BA/BS required
