Regulatory Legal Counsel

You will advise on EMEA platform, AI, and digital regulation affecting product development and operations. You will assess products against regulatory requirements, support regulatory engagements and investigations, analyze legal developments, create compliance processes, coordinate with internal legal partners, and manage outside counsel.

Responsibilities

• Advise on implementation and compliance with EU, UK, and other EMEA digital regulations
• Support regulatory engagements and investigations with regulators
• Assess new features and AI products against regulatory requirements
• Conduct risk assessments covering systemic risk, illegal content, age assurance, content moderation, advertising transparency, data access, and AI transparency
• Track legislation, codes of practice, guidelines, and enforcement trends across EMEA
• Build scalable compliance processes, templates, and playbooks
• Coordinate regulatory positions with Compliance, Product Counsel, Privacy, Litigation, and Policy colleagues
• Manage outside counsel effectively and cost-consciously
• Use AI products to accelerate learning and productivity

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer in good standing, ideally in the UK or EU
• At least 5 years of legal experience in technology, platform, or digital regulation
• Strong working knowledge of the Digital Services Act or UK Online Safety Act
• Understanding of the legislative process and technology industry
• Ability to work with technical and non-legal teams
• Commitment to work in-office 5 days per week
