Regulatory Licensing Application Reviewer – Qatar (Arabic speaking) (4 Months Contract)

Deloitte UK is seeking experienced ex-regulators to join a high-profile project based in Qatar, supporting the local regulatory authority in their fintech licensing and assessment initiatives.

This 4-month contract offers a unique chance to apply your regulatory expertise in reviewing and assessing license applications in innovative fintech sectors such as:

• Stored Value Facilities
  
• Retail Payment Services
  
• Open Finance
  
• Payment Tokens
  

You will be responsible for screening applicant documents, conducting interviews, and maintaining clear written and verbal communication throughout the application review process. Your role will also involve presenting findings to internal stakeholders and coordinating with specialized departments within the regulator.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assess licensing applications focused on emerging fintech areas
  
• Conduct detailed screening of applicant documentation and interviews
  
• Engage effectively with applicants and internal teams
  
• Collaborate with specialized teams covering AML/CFT, Conduct & Consumer Protection, Fit & Proper Assessment, Business Model & Financial Projections, and IT workflows
  
• Present findings and recommendations to regulatory stakeholders
  

Who We Are Looking For

• Ex-regulators with proven experience in licensing application reviews
  
• You must be Arab speaking
  
• Strong knowledge of fintech regulatory frameworks and innovative payment services
  
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple specialized review areas
  
• Available to work onsite in Qatar for the duration of the contract (remote work options subject to data residency compliance)
