Rehabilitation & Maintenance Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of rehabilitation, maintenance, and upgrade projects in power plants, oil refineries, gas processing facilities, and related infrastructure. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The coordinator works closely with engineers, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth project operations.

Requirements

1. Project Planning & Coordination:

• Assist in developing project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.

• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project milestones are met.

• Track project progress, identify delays, and recommend corrective actions.

• Prepare and maintain project documentation (reports, work orders, compliance records).

2. Maintenance & Rehabilitation Support:

• Oversee planned and unplanned maintenance activities for power generation, oil, and gas equipment (turbines, boilers, pipelines, compressors, etc.).

• Coordinate shutdowns, turnarounds, and overhaul projects.

• Ensure maintenance activities comply with industry standards (API, ASME, OSHA, ISO).

3. Contractor & Vendor Management:

• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and service providers for equipment repairs, parts, and technical support.

• Review contractor work plans and ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols.

• Process invoices, purchase orders, and service agreements.

4. Safety & Compliance:

• Enforce HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) policies and conduct risk assessments.

• Ensure compliance with local regulations (EPA, DOT, DEP) and company standards.

• Participate in safety audits and incident investigations.

5. Reporting & Communication:

• Provide regular updates to management on project status, risks, and KPIs.

• Organize meetings with stakeholders, clients, and regulatory bodies.

• Maintain logs for equipment history, maintenance records, and warranty tracking.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering, Project Management, or related field.

• 3+ years in power plants, oil & gas maintenance, or industrial project coordination.

• Certifications (Preferred): PMP, OSHA, NEBOSH, or API certifications.

• Technical Skills:

•Proficient in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and project tools (MS Project, Primavera, SAP).

•Knowledge of rotating equipment, boilers, steam and gas turbines, gas compressors, O&G pumps, and instrumentation.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Work Environment:

• office-based with visits to power plant sites, refineries, customers.

• May require emergency call-outs, or travel.
