Rehabilitation Services Manager

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Champion and drive department goals, standards, objectives, and performance measures that directly advance Henry Ford Health's strategic plan and vision.
• Lead and inspire day-to-day rehabilitation services operations, fostering an environment of excellence and delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
• Actively assess and monitor the quality, safety, and effectiveness of patient care and rehabilitation services, championing continuous improvement opportunities and best practices.
• Partner collaboratively with patients, families, physicians, nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare providers to enhance care coordination and drive positive patient outcomes.
• Engage, mentor, and develop rehabilitation staff by building a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture that empowers excellence.
• Lead the recruitment process by conducting interviews and hiring talented professionals for regional positions. Conduct meaningful performance reviews for supervisors and provide constructive input on team member evaluations. Champion staff development initiatives, guide progressive disciplinary actions, and support performance improvement plans and career transitions as needed.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, organizational policies, and clinical best practices.
• Champion the implementation of innovative programs, technologies, workflows, and initiatives designed to enhance both patient and employee experiences.
• Actively represent Rehabilitation Services in organizational meetings, committees, and strategic initiatives, bringing a collaborative and forward-thinking perspective.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Physical Therapist Bachelor’s degree with five (5) years of experience OR Master's/Doctorate degree acquired from a Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited program, OR Occupational Therapy Bachelor’s degree acquired from an Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) accredited program, OR Speech and Language Pathologist Master’s degree acquired from American Speech and Hearing Association.

• Five (5) years of experience as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech and Language Pathologist.

• 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

• Advanced degree in Business or Management preferred. • Experience in leadership role required.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current State of Michigan licensure.

• Current CPR certification.
