Reinforced Concrete (RC) Engineer

Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all RC works related to tunnelling, including casting base slabs, tunnel walls, linings, and shafts.
- Plan and manage concrete casting activities, ensuring proper sequencing and optimal resource coordination.
- Prepare and follow up on RFI (Request for Inspection) submissions and manage inspection workflows with consultants and authorities.
- Conduct and support site inspections for rebar, formwork, and concrete works.
- Track progress and update progress curves, ensuring alignment with the master schedule.
- Monitor quality and ensure all RC works are compliant with design specifications and QMS.
- Work closely with site supervisors, subcontractors, and QA/QC to resolve site issues proactively.
- Coordinate with planning and procurement teams for timely material and equipment delivery.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of inspections, casting logs, and technical submissions.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in RC works.
- Strong understanding of concrete technology, formwork, reinforcement detailing, and sequencing of casting works.
- Proficient in interpreting structural drawings and specifications.
- Familiar with site documentation such as RFI, inspection checklists, method statements, and progress reporting.
- Able to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced, site-based environment.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with both internal teams and external consultants.
- Familiarity with LTA or similar infrastructure project standards is a plus.
