Relationship Manager - Secured Direct
The Relationship Manager - Secured Direct will be responsible for managing a portfolio of secured direct lending clients, fostering strong relationships, and identifying new business opportunities to drive growth and profitability for the company.
Responsibilities:**
* Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing secured direct lending clients, understanding their financial needs and providing tailored solutions.
* Proactively identify and acquire new secured direct lending clients through various channels, including referrals, networking, and direct outreach.
* Conduct thorough financial analysis and due diligence on prospective and existing clients to assess creditworthiness and identify potential risks.
* Structure and negotiate complex secured lending deals, ensuring adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite.
* Monitor client portfolios, track performance, and proactively address any issues or opportunities.
* Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including credit, legal, and operations, to ensure seamless client service and efficient deal execution.
* Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes within the secured direct lending space.
* Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for management on portfolio performance, pipeline, and market insights.
* Represent the company at industry events and conferences to enhance brand visibility and network with potential clients.
Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA) preferred.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in relationship management or business development within the financial services industry, with a strong focus on secured lending or direct lending.
* Proven track record of successfully managing and growing a portfolio of high-value clients.
* Excellent understanding of secured lending products, credit analysis, financial modeling, and risk management principles.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain rapport with clients at all levels.
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
* Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
