Who we are

DB Global Technology, Deutsche Bank's technology center in Central and Eastern Europe, opened its Bucharest office in January 2014 and is continuously expanding. The team comprises enthusiastic professionals working in an international environment, dedicated to learning new technologies and fundamentally changing how Deutsche Bank operates.

We are looking for As the Release and Delivery Manager for our client's PB TOM project.

You will play a pivotal role in driving transparency, alignment, and execution across all workstreams and application stakeholders. You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery monitoring, release scheduling, and risk mitigation to ensure on-time PB TOM delivery and safeguard the production environment. By establishing robust processes and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, you will enable senior leadership to make informed, data-driven decisions.

This role requires a proactive, highly organized individual capable of managing high-pressure environments, including coordinated weekend deployments and complex technical cutovers.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Centralized Tracking: Establish and maintain a comprehensive delivery repository (primarily utilizing Jira) to track the status, milestones, target dates, and ownership of all delivery items
  • Framework Design: Define, implement, and continuously improve Release and Delivery Management processes, ensuring seamless collaboration across workstreams, application teams, test management, and environment management
  • Release Calendaring: Create, maintain, and publish the Release Overview (ROV), detailing dependencies, scope, key milestones, and planned downtimes for all PB TOM initiatives. (also within JIRA)
  • Change Governance: Maintain a holistic view of all planned production changes (utilizing ServiceNow, dbRIB, etc.) to optimize release windows, resolve scheduling conflicts, and minimize operational risk
  • Cutover Planning: Develop detailed, step-by-step cutover plans for major release weekends, mapping out technical tasks, validation steps, and rollback procedures
  • Control Room Leadership: Drive weekend deployment activities by leading the "Control Room," tracking execution progress in real-time, coordinating technical teams, and managing live escalations
  • Incident & Change Alignment: Align release activities with corporate ITIL frameworks, managing emergency changes and coordinate post-implementation reviews (PIRs) to capture lessons learned
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Serve as the central liaison between diverse stakeholder groups, including Production Management, Change Management, Test Management, IT Application Owners (IT-AOs), and Application Release Managers
  • Meeting Facilitation: Prepare for, host, and document critical alignment forums, including routine Delivery and Release Management updates with workstreams and high-profile status calls with Senior Management
  • Executive Reporting: Translate complex technical release risks and delivery statuses into clear, actionable executive summaries for senior leadership


What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in computer science or similar
  • Minimum of 7 yearsof experience as Delivery Manager role or in a similar position, with a proven track record in complex IT delivery and release management, cutover planning, and change governance (ITIL/ServiceNow)
  • Project Tools: Advanced proficiency in Jira (including workflow setup, customization, dashboard creation, and reporting) and MS Project
  • ITSM Platforms: Strong practical knowledge of change, incident, and release management workflows within ServiceNow (or similar ITIL-aligned platforms)
  • Productivity & Collaboration: Expert level in Microsoft 365 suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience leveraging AI productivity tools (e.g., MS Copilot) to streamline administrative and reporting workflows
  • Release & Project Management: Proven experience in project-, release management and modern software delivery lifecycles (SDLC), utilizing both Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies
  • ITIL Framework: Solid understanding of ITIL best practices, particularly Service Transition (Change, Release, and Deployment Management)
  • High-Stake Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English, with a proven ability to present to, negotiate with, and influence Senior Management
  • Proactive Problem Solving: A self-driven attitude with the capability to identify delivery bottlenecks or deployment risks early and implement mitigation strategies independently
  • Resilience & Flexibility: Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with a high workload. Ability to support night and weekend shifts during critical production deployment windows

Nice to have:

  • Professional certifications in Project/Release Management (e.g., PMP, Prince2, ITIL v4, or SAFe/Scrum Master certifications)
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated deployment tooling
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries (e.g., Financial Services or Banking)
