Release Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Application setup, managing software build and Release deployments
  • Strong knowledge on Cloudera NiFi, JBoss setup, Performance finetuning and Cloudera master and worker nodes setup
  • Work with production support team as required for onboarding new applications / releases. Perform end‑to‑end infrastructure setup for CD servers, batch servers, application servers, database servers, PDR servers, NiFi nodes, and Cloudera environments.
  • Create and manage system IDs, SFTP IDs, user accounts, folders and access permissions across application, database, CD, and SFTP environments. Configure SFTP setups and conduct connectivity tests between CD, batch, upstream/downstream systems and PDR servers.
  • Manage networking and security configurations including DNS setup, firewall openings, sudoers updates, SSL key/CSR generation, certificate signing, and certificate deployment.
  • Install and configure key platform components including Java(JDK), AEM, CTM Agent, JBOSS credential-store, Aldon Agent, Jenkins Agent, Splunk, Geneos, GTM, and LME.
  • Support deployment readiness by setting up pipelines, application directory structures, folder permissions, and AEM Vault configurations.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and email notification setups suchas Splunk integration, Geneos configuration, send mail setup, and ORS email configurations.
  • Setup application monitoring like Geneous, Truesight and Splunk dashboards with relevant tools
  • Work with GIPS SR during patching of servers (OS and Application)
  • Take care of end to end deployment of application, abiding by guidelines and process
  • Work with Development team and support them through the development process
  • Manage and remediate application vulnerabilities, VRA process and GIS communications
  • Setup application servers with required software / files based on solution design
  • Work with GIPS build team, Infrastructure and network teams for server and application setup
  • Work with GIS security teams to ensure right security configuration for servers
  • Work with central DevOps team to build pipelines for software delivery. Create technical documentation for reference and reporting

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master degree or relevant
  • Minimum 6 years of experience
  • Deep technical hands-on experience in supporting CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Sonar, Veracode, JIRA and Confluence).
  • Experience in Middleware Administration Support like WebLogic, Jboss , ApacheTomcat, OHS and Apache
  • Proficient in computer technology and Microsoft Office application
  • L2 Support to Weblogic, Jboss and Tomcat application servers. Experience in configuring of JMS Servers, Queues, and Topics
