Release Manager

The role

  • Lead and coordinates Squad releases
  • Align with the overall divisional and cross divisional release governance, rhythm and calendars, align with Business for go-to market release arrangements
  • Establishing and communicating the annual release calendars
  • Scoping and planning releases
  • Consolidating and ensuring the coherence of the release components included in the release
  • Measuring and monitoring progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time
  • Identifying and mitigating risk related to release
  • Facilitating the Go / No-Go process and ceremonies
  • Communicate on Tribe release status
  • Facilitate system demos and solution demos together with the Tribe Scrum Master
  • Streamline the delivery and deployment processes :
  • Proceed with the management, monitoring, and improvement of release processes and promote continuous integration and continuous deployment (DevOps practices).
  • Define environment needs and ensure that the integrity of the pre-production or production environment is protected

Your pofile

  • Proven experience in release management, preferably within an Agile or DevOps environment. Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and managing complex release schedules.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and oversee release processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders, including business units and technical teams.
  • Proficiency in risk management and the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with releases.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools.
  • Ability to facilitate Go/No-Go decisions and lead release ceremonies.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release management tools. Knowledge of environment management and ensuring the integrity of pre-production and production environments.
  • Strong analytical skills to measure and monitor progress, ensuring timely delivery of application releases.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate squad releases, aligning with divisional and cross-divisional governance and rhythms.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing release schedules and business requirements, ensuring alignment with go-to-market strategies.
