Release Manager (Mobile – iOS, Android & Backend)

Summary

Coordinates end-to-end releases for native iOS/Android apps and backend services, aligning cross-functional teams and ensuring smooth store submissions and deployments.

We are looking for a highly organized Release Manager to lead end-to-end release planning and delivery for native mobile apps and supporting backend services. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, strengthen release processes, and keep stakeholders informed—apply to help drive predictable, high-quality releases.

Responsibilities

  • Own the release calendar across iOS, Android, and backend services
  • Coordinate release scope, priorities, timelines, and dependencies with cross-functional teams
  • Facilitate release readiness reviews and drive go/no-go decisions
  • Oversee end-to-end release execution across build, test, and deployment phases
  • Coordinate mobile store submissions and ensure compliance with store guidelines
  • Manage backend deployments and ensure compatibility with mobile client versions
  • Communicate release status, risks, and issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Maintain release documentation, notes, and post-release summaries
  • Identify release risks and dependencies and drive mitigation plans
  • Coordinate resolution of blocking issues and lead rollback planning when needed
  • Improve release processes, tooling, and automation in partnership with engineering and QA
  • Define quality gates and track release performance metrics to recommend improvements

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in release management across mobile and backend platforms
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to align Product, Engineering, QA, and Ops
  • Proven project coordination skills to manage timelines, scope, and dependencies
  • Strong CI/CD knowledge with hands-on exposure to GitHub Actions and CircleCI
  • Strong mobile release lifecycle knowledge across iOS App Distribution and store constraints
  • Solid software release management skills including versioning, tagging, and branching strategies
  • Strong analytical skills for risk tracking, metrics review, and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical status into business-friendly updates
  • Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2)

  • Experience with API Gateways in backend platforms
