Release Train Engineer (SAFe) Agile

Summary

Coordinate and coach multiple Agile teams in a SAFe environment, facilitating PI Planning and removing delivery bottlenecks to improve flow and maturity.

Salary: £60,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Experience as a Release Train Engineer, or significant experience coordinating multiple Agile teams within a SAFe environment as a Senior Scrum Master
  • SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification or another current SAFe qualification
  • Experience facilitating PI Planning and other scaled Agile events
  • Proven coaching and people leadership experience, with the ability to develop Scrum Masters and Agile teams
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • A collaborative, servant leadership approach and a passion for continuous improvement
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate delivery across a large portfolio, supporting between 15 and 20 Agile teams and leading up to 10 Scrum Masters
  • Facilitate PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt workshops, System Demos and other key scaled Agile events
  • Coach Scrum Masters, leaders and Agile teams to improve capability and Agile maturity
  • Manage cross-team dependencies, risks and impediments to keep delivery on track
  • Improve the flow of work by removing bottlenecks and driving continuous improvement
  • Support the ongoing evolution of Agile ways of working across the technology function
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure priorities, objectives and delivery remain aligned
