Summary
Prevents Equipment Failures utilising data and digital tools and accepted Failure Analysis Methodology Originates and develops analysis methods to determine reliability of components, equipment and processes. Acquires and analyzes data. Prepares diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations and reports to define reliability problems and make recommendations for improvements. Conducts analysis of reliability problems and investigates to determine the required reliability approach for a particular situation, with consideration given to cost limitations for equipment uptime/downtime, repair/replacement costs and weight, size and availability of materials/equipment. Determines cost advantages of alternatives and develops action plans that comply with internal/external customer demands for reliable processes/equipment to avoid failures.
Responsibilities
- Gather and examine basic reliability data from field studies or database/equipment history and correlate the data for analysis using well-defined engineering techniques, principles and procedures, develop gap analysis and propose improvement plans.
- Analyze entities’ reliability performance and communicate gaps and progress of entities to the country managers/Operations director and Cluster management team
- Leads and assists others actively in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCA) to avoid future failures and follow-up on actions identified and provide RCA training
- Prioritize and follow-up and close critical reliability initiatives/programs by the Group
- Determine critical spare parts and appropriate stocking levels.
- Ensuring the reliability events/incidents reported timely and acurately by entities.
- Responsible for the entity Technical Review meeting and Champion the reliability program not limited to using interlex reliability information to work on the analysis; develop statistical analysis dashboard and implement the program based on the analysis.
- Provide appropriate metrics e.g.: Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) & etc.
- Participate in plant shutdowns to improve knowledge and assist in operational troubleshooting.
- Adherence to Job Order / Work Permit system and to maintain zero accident by complying to all Safety rules & regulations in accordance with Air Liquide IMS and Workplace Safety & Health Act.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Chemical/Electrical or related Engineering field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance / service / commissioning in the Oil and Gas or petrochemical industry especially in electrical, instrumentation, and control.
- Possesses a Continuous Improvement mindset.
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis methodology and Failure Modes.
- Experience in Asset management is an advantage
- This role will be remunerated based on the domestic package.
