RELIABILITY MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Purpose of the Job:

• Develop and enhance the reliability and asset performance of critical Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) assets
• Minimize unplanned downtime improve equipment availability and optimize lifecycle performance
• Support safe compliant and cost-effective plant operations through data-driven reliability engineering

• Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop implement and continuously improve reliability strategies for critical STP assets
  • Monitor and analyze reliability KPIs (MTBF MTTR availability failure trends)
  • Conduct FMEA RCM studies and lead RCA for major and recurring failures
  • Identify chronic equipment issues (bad actors) and implement improvement plans
  • Analyze CMMS/EAM data to identify trends and support decision-making
  • Develop dashboards and reports to communicate reliability performance
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support predictive maintenance techniques
  • Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams to optimize maintenance plans and job frequencies
  • Support commissioning modifications and upgrades with embedded reliability considerations
  • Ensure compliance with safety environmental and regulatory requirements

• Key Qualifications:

• • BSc in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Instrumentation or related discipline)
  • Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles and methodologies (FMEA RCM RCA)
  • Experience working with CMMS/EAM systems and reliability KPIs
  • Strong data analysis problem-solving and reporting skills
  • Experience in STPs water treatment plants utilities or continuous-process environments
  • Knowledge of environmental and regulatory compliance in wastewater operations
  • Exposure to digital tools dashboards and maintenance analytics
  • Professional certifications (CMRP CAMA or equivalent) are an advantage
