Remote Backend & Deployment Focus Engineer (Product)

Why this role?

We're building a SaaS platform that helps companies make sense of complex regulatory requirements, using AI for document analysis and regulatory search.

This isn't a "close tickets in one framework" job. You'll own product features from idea to production: designing the backend logic, shipping it, deploying it, and making sure it runs well for customers around the world. If you care about how things work in real life, not just in code review, you'll feel at home here.

Must-haves

• 3–4+ years of hands-on backend development in production systems
• Solid experience with Java and Spring Boot (our main backend stack). Strong engineers coming from similar backend ecosystems are welcome to apply.
• Good knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
• Understanding of authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT)
• Practical experience with Docker, Git, CI/CD and Linux
• A "you build it, you ship it" mindset, with interest in deployment, reliability and production
• Comfortable using AI coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, etc.) and able to critically review AI-generated code
• Good English for daily communication

Nice-to-haves

• Azure experience (App Service, Blob Storage, Container Registry)
• Integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) into real products
• Observability tools (Application Insights, OpenTelemetry)
• Multi-tenant SaaS experience
• Security awareness (OWASP best practices)
• Some React / TypeScript experience
• Hibernate / JPA
