Pay: $200,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year

Location

Remote | New York City Metropolitan Area (White Plains, NY)

Enjoy the flexibility of remote work while staying connected to our New York litigation practice. Court appearances and occasional in-person professional obligations may be required.

Note

Candidates must have an active New York Bar license and 4+ years of commercial litigation experience. Experience with New York State court proceedings, discovery, motion practice, and depositions is important. Construction litigation experience is strongly preferred but not required.

Job Description

• Handle complex commercial litigation matters involving business disputes, contracts, and construction-related claims.
• Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Draft persuasive motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Develop effective case strategies and work toward successful resolutions through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or litigation.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, depositions, and settlement discussions.
• Analyze contracts, business records, and legal issues to develop practical solutions.
• Build strong client relationships while collaborating with experienced attorneys on sophisticated matters.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active New York Bar admission.
• 4+ years of commercial litigation experience.
• Experience handling discovery, drafting substantive motions, and participating in depositions.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage litigation responsibilities independently while collaborating with a team.
• Experience with construction litigation, contract disputes, or complex business disputes is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organization, and client relationship skills.
