This role is accountable for the data it runs on: acquiring content from external sources — increasingly including audio and video — extracting structure from it, and delivering it to downstream services with quality, freshness and provenance. It is primarily a hands-on engineering role with architectural ownership, working alongside AI/ML, backend, data and infrastructure engineers.
