Remote Electric Estimator

Title: Electrical Estimator

Level: Mid-Level (3+ years of relevant experience preferred)

Compensation: USD $1,500–$2,500/month (Depending on Experience)

Time Zone: Eastern Time (US)

Working Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM ET

About the Company

Lean Team: Growing electrical construction company specializing in light commercial projects and expanding into commercial and small industrial work. Small, collaborative team focused on scaling operations with dedicated estimating support.

What They'll Do

  • Perform electrical takeoffs from digital drawings, blueprints, and project documents.

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive bid proposals.

  • Complete and manage RFQs (Request for Quote), including revisions and updates.

  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and project information.

  • Support pre-construction planning and estimating activities.

  • Work directly within the company's workflows and estimating processes as a remote team member.

Ideal Candidate

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience in electrical estimating.

  • 3–10+ years of hands-on electrical estimating experience for U.S. construction projects.

  • Fluent in spoken and written English.

  • Strong understanding of electrical estimating workflows and industry best practices.

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote environment.

  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent accuracy in takeoffs and pricing.

Standout Signal

  • Experience using digital takeoff software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), or similar platforms.

  • Proven ability to support growing construction companies by managing estimating functions efficiently.

  • Strong communication skills with experience coordinating across vendors, subcontractors, and project teams.

  • Background estimating light commercial and small industrial electrical projects.
