About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer with a strong frontend focus to join a high-impact international FinTech project building an internal Customer Experience Operations Platform.
The platform provides the tools customer experience agents and supervisors rely on every day to manage queues, assignments, conversations, agent availability, dashboards, metrics, and operational workflows.
You’ll primarily design and ship agent-facing experiences using React and TypeScript, working within a modern, modular frontend architecture while collaborating closely with the backend services and APIs that power the platform.
A key aspect of this opportunity is the way the team approaches software development.
We’re looking for engineers with an agentic development mindset: people who actively use AI coding assistants, LLM agents, automation, and AI-assisted engineering workflows to prototype faster, solve problems, generate and validate code, improve testing, accelerate debugging, and increase overall engineering productivity.
This is not simply about using AI autocomplete. We’re looking for engineers who are comfortable incorporating tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, coding agents, custom scripts, or AI-assisted specifications into their day-to-day development process while maintaining strong engineering judgment and ownership.
You’ll work closely with Product, CX stakeholders, designers, and backend engineers to turn operational requirements into reliable, intuitive, and scalable user experiences.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, develop, and maintain React / TypeScript features across CX domain modules, including operations tooling, agent presence, inbox workflows, queues, assignments, and internal applications.
- Build and evolve reusable UI components, forms, tables, filters, dashboards, and complex operational workflows.
- Work with technologies and patterns including Tailwind CSS, Tremor, Radix/shadcn, and Storybook.
- Apply AI-assisted and agentic software engineering practices to accelerate prototyping, implementation, testing, refactoring, documentation, and debugging.
- Experiment with AI coding agents and automated workflows to improve engineering productivity and development quality.
- Build data-driven interfaces using TanStack Query, React Router, react-hook-form, and Zod.
- Integrate frontend applications with BFF and backend APIs.
- Work within a micro-frontend architecture using Rspack and Module Federation, respecting domain boundaries and monorepo conventions.
- Collaborate on API design and integration with FastAPI backend services, including OpenAPI contracts and BFF endpoints.
- Ensure end-to-end correctness across workflows involving queues, agents, assignments, conversations, and operational metrics.
- Contribute to authorization-aware UX aligned with gateway permissions and domain-level capability models.
- Troubleshoot issues across the frontend BFF backend stack using both traditional debugging techniques and AI-assisted workflows.
- Ensure the reliability, accessibility, and performance of agent-critical workflows running in production.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, technical decision-making, and engineering best practices around type safety, linting, testing, and maintainability.
What You Bring
- 8+ years of software engineering experience , with a strong frontend-oriented background.
- Strong production experience with React and TypeScript.
- Hands‑on experience actively using AI development tools and agentic workflows such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, coding agents, AI‑assisted specifications, or similar tooling.
- Ability to use AI as part of the engineering workflow while maintaining ownership over architecture, code quality, testing, and technical decisions.
- Experience building complex product interfaces involving forms, tables, filters, dashboards, and multi‑step workflows.
- Strong understanding of modern frontend development practices and component-driven architectures.
- Experience with modern bundlers such as Webpack, Rspack, or Vite.
- Experience with Tailwind CSS or similar modern styling frameworks.
- Experience consuming REST APIs and working with OpenAPI‑based services.
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot issues across frontend and backend boundaries.
- Experience with modern state management and server‑state patterns such as TanStack Query, React Context, and hooks.
- Strong debugging, problem‑solving, and technical decision‑making skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, and operational stakeholders.
- Advanced English proficiency, both spoken and written.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing or integrating AI‑agent workflows, AI‑powered interfaces, or automated support operations.
- Experience with micro‑frontends or Module Federation.
- Experience working with monorepos using pnpm, Turbo, Nx, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with Refine, react‑intl, or admin/operations‑focused internal platforms.
- Experience developing BFF layers with Node.js / Fastify.
- Experience with Python / FastAPI, particularly the ability to understand APIs, propose schema changes, or implement small backend endpoints.
- Experience working with PostgreSQL‑backed services and transactional or domain‑oriented APIs.
- Experience in FinTech, payments, remittances, customer support platforms, or high‑volume operational systems.
- Experience with GCP, including technologies such as OIDC or Pub/Sub.
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD in cloud‑native environments.
- Familiarity with Storybook, Vitest, and design‑system workflows.
- Experience working in fast‑moving startup or scale‑up environments.

Our client is a remote product studio that builds MVPs and custom software for startups and companies past the idea stage. Clients hire them for a fixed‑scope MVP or for a product team billed by the two‑week sprint, and the whole team uses AI coding tools every day.
They’ve been at it since 2020 and were profitable in 2025, with a 30% net margin. After building their own AI systems, they tripled monthly revenue with the same team size. Clients rate them 4.9 out of 5 in verified reviews, and the startups they build for have raised more than $25M in venture funding.
Your Role
You’ll join the team building workflow software for one of the studio's clients: a live product that needs new workflow features while the existing ones keep running. The client's own engineers commit to the same repo, so every new table, permission and workflow goes in next to code someone else is changing. The weight is on the server side, from the SQL database on Azure up through the API, and you also build the React and TypeScript screens that sit on top.
AI coding tools draft most of the specs, tests and migrations. You direct them, read every diff line by line, and answer for what merges. If you'd rather write most of the code by hand, this probably isn't the right seat.
You report to the studio's leadership and work day to day with the lead developer and the product manager, who sets the acceptance criteria for each sprint. Success means delivering four to five features per two‑week sprint, each verified before merge, and owning one area end to end (such as the task engine or the legacy migration) without breaking a live feature.
You'll:
- Extend the production SQL database on Azure with new tables, permissions and versioned records
- Write the server‑side workflow rules: state machines, approval gates and independent review steps
- Enforce role‑based access by company and assignment at both the database and the API
- Build the audit log, stale‑write protection and idempotent endpoints so a retry never duplicates data
- Build the React and TypeScript work queues, bulk assignment tools and dashboards
- Integrate email, SMS and file storage providers, and design the sync APIs the mobile application calls
- Write migrations from legacy sources, with reconciliation reports and a duplicate review step
- Break each sprint's scope into small PRs and verify every acceptance criterion before merge
You Bring:
- 4+ years building full-stack web applications and releasing them to production
- Experience working in a codebase you didn't write, learning its conventions before changing it
- Hands‑on work on workflow software where different user roles see different data, with approvals, task queues or state machines and an audit log or versioned history
- React, TypeScript and SQL on Azure, including schema design and migrations
- Daily use of Cursor, Claude Code or a similar AI coding tool on production work, with tests and CI behind it
- Clear written and spoken English: PRs that say what changed, why, and how it was tested, and tradeoffs explained to another team's engineers
- Experience delivering in fixed‑scope sprints with branches, code review and feature flags
Bonus Points:
- Work in a regulated setting such as finance, health or insurance
- A migration from a legacy system, with reconciliation and duplicate review
- Time as an outside vendor committing to a client's repo
- Project rules, custom prompts or agent setups for AI coding tools that your team adopted
- Spanish, since the platform is bilingual
What's Offered:
- Fully remote contractor role from LATAM, full time at about 40 hours a week
- Core hours in US time zones, so your day overlaps with the lead developer and the product manager
- A area of the product to own end to end, with your schema designs reviewed by the lead developer and the client's engineers
- A team where AI‑first delivery is already the daily routine, with tests, CI and feature flags as part of the normal process
- A start in early November
Interview Process
- Intro Call: 30 minutes with atomic HR on your background and goals
- Leadership Screening: A short call, possibly with an async part first
- Product and Developer Conversation: How you take features from acceptance criteria to merge
- Take-Home Test: One feature like the real scope, built and checked
