Summary

Reporting to the Director of Technical Services and the SA Hosted leadership team, the Operations Support Coordinator provides critical administrative, analytical, and operational support to the Technical Services department. This pivotal role serves as the department's backbone, driving efficiency across a wide range of areas, including data analysis, process improvement, payroll compliance, and human resources support. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and brings experience or a strong interest in supporting HR and recruiting initiatives.

General Responsibilities

  • Provide escalated second-level technical support for Tier 1 IT staff.
  • Install and troubleshoot software and hardware in a Windows and Mac OS environment.
  • Provision (image, test) desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and other related hardware.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity for both local and remote employees
  • Troubleshoot IT-related issues.
  • Provision and support mobile devices.
  • Manage the lifecycle of computers, laptops, and other devices using existing software.
  • Train other staff and stakeholders on technical solutions as needed
  • Be on call 24/7 for emergency duties when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Networking and storage knowledge is also required.
  • Experience managing Windows environments.
  • Experience managing and administering Google Workspace.
  • Ability and desire to learn new environments, technologies, and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to master documentation
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills to assess data and drive decisions.
    • Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.
  • Call Center experience considered beneficial
  • Analytical mindset and inquisitive nature
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to changing work conditions in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management
  • Basic understanding of network (WAN, LAN, VPN), and telephony systems. Demonstrated knowledge and skills with PC Operating Systems, computer hardware repair, and device connectivity (TCP/IP, network adapter configuration)
  • Proficient in MS Office and/or Google Workspace

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an IT-related diploma from a community college.
  • Two years of related experience
