Remote Java Developer - GraphQL & Microservices Expert

NTT DATA Romania is seeking an experienced Java developer to collaborate with solution architects and leads on customer self-service capabilities. You will design, update, and maintain backend modules as well as web UI components for the project.

You will work with Java, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and microservices, building RESTful services and GraphQL APIs while ensuring quality through testing and documentation. Flexible work options include remote, hybrid, and office settings.

Deliver accurate effort and time estimates for tasks. Contribute to creating and maintaining documentation, proposals, and technical specs. Manage code configuration using SVN, including branches, builds, and trunk merges. Discuss technical solutions with clients and propose innovative approaches. Coordinate with the project manager on delivery timelines, issues, and risk. Collaborate with offshore and onshore teams during build phase. Triage defects with testing teams and track resolution progress. Develop cross-browser compatible UI and backend solutions. Write clean, well-structured, and testable code. Explain decisions to stakeholders in complex scenarios. Coordinate requirements, schedules, and activities across teams. Bachelor or Master in Computer Science or related field. 6+ years with Core Java, Spring MVC, Hibernate, HTML5, CSS3. Experience developing microservices and GraphQL. Hands-on with AJAX, SVN, and unit testing with Mockito. Experience with JBOSS and REST/SOAP web services. Familiarity with build tools like Ant and Maven. Experience in Agile environments and cross-team collaboration. Strong UI integration and STLC understanding.
