Remote Pre-Sales Architect - Cloud Storage

Cubbit is seeking a Pre-Sales Engineer to join our team and act as the technical backbone of the sales cycle. You will design geo-distributed storage architectures on customer hardware and lead PoCs, creating confidence with customers, partners and internal teams from discovery through go-live.

You will work with R&D, delivery and sales to craft solution architectures and provide technical validation, documentation, and competitive analyses. Remote-friendly and focused on cutting-edge cloud tech.

Own the technical side of the deal with the Account Executive: discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, sizing and validation. Design geo-distributed object storage architectures on customer hardware (on-prem, bare metal, cloud). Run PoVs and PoCs end to end: scoping, prerequisites, deployment, test plan, results readout. Build TCO and business-case analyses against hyperscalers and alternatives. Produce technical documentation: BOMs, annexes, and compliance for tenders. Serve as technical counterpart for partners and support their branded storage service designs. Validate integrations with backup, virtualization, and Kubernetes ecosystem. Support handover to Delivery and Customer Success during first deployments. 3–5 years in a customer-facing technical role. Experience partnering with Sales and Account Executives through the full sales cycle. Proven lead on complex enterprise deals with multi-stakeholder teams. Experience designing data-centre scale infrastructure. Translate non-functional requirements into architecture and BOM. Strong knowledge of object storage and S3 API. Linux and containerised workloads (Docker, Kubernetes). Fluency in Italian and English (written and spoken). Remote-friendly environment Flexible schedules Work with Europe’s advanced cloud tech
