Remote Python Backend Engineer for Scalable APIs

hlpy, founded in 2020, is a roadside assistance company delivering a cutting-edge digital solution to scale globally. We are seeking a Software Engineer (Python) to join our backend team and help design, build, and scale high-performance software.

You will mentor junior developers, shape the technical direction, and stay hands-on with coding. The role requires 4+ years in backend Python, REST APIs, and microservices, with experience in Django, FastAPI, or Flask, and AWS.

Design, develop, and maintain Python applications and APIs. Implement unit, integration, and performance tests. Optimize code and systems for performance and scalability. Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards. Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions. 4+ years of professional backend software development with Python. Experience designing and building scalable backend systems. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud deployments (AWS). Full remote work Competitive salary
