Job Summary

As a QA Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of web and mobile applications. You'll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to identify issues early, improve testing processes, and help deliver high-quality software releases.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in manual and/or automated software testing who enjoys solving problems and contributing to fast-paced product development teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Perform manual testing for web and mobile applications.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites where applicable.
  • Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using bug-tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and validate fixes.
  • Conduct regression, functional, integration, usability, and performance testing.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release testing.
  • Ensure software meets quality standards before production deployment.
  • Continuously improve QA processes, documentation, and testing methodologies.
  • Communicate testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or QA Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and QA methodologies.
  • Experience performing manual testing across web applications.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
  • Experience working with bug tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Trello.
  • Understanding of Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
  • Experience testing REST APIs using tools like Postman is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing is preferred.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Git version control.
  • Performance or security testing experience.
  • ISTQB Certification or equivalent QA certification.
  • Experience testing SaaS platforms or cloud-based applications.
