Summary
Senior backend engineer on a storage infrastructure team who architects and scales relational and distributed SQL databases (MySQL/TiDB). Day to day they own the control plane for deployments, automate provisioning, backups, upgrades and failover, drive zero-downtime multi-tenant migrations, and design the service-to-storage networking on Kubernetes.
Affir is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Online Storage) to architect, build and scale relational and distributed SQL databases. You will own the control plane for MySQL/TiDB deployments, automate provisioning, backups, upgrades and failover, and drive zero-downtime migrations across multi-tenant clusters.
You will design the networking stack between services and storage on Kubernetes, tune for latency and resilience, and contribute to the team’s quarterly objectives.
