Remote Web UI Engineer React/Flutter

Canonical is hiring a Web/UI Engineer to develop a data-rich user experience using JS, CSS, React and Flutter. This globally remote role focuses on enterprise frontends that power Canonical’s Ubuntu products for users worldwide.

You will design and build with Typescript and web technologies, contribute to Flutter initiatives, and collaborate across engineering and community teams to deliver accessible, high-performance interfaces.

Design and implement well-tested and documented software in Web technologies or Flutter. Debug and fix issues encountered by users. Participate in engineering process through code and architectural reviews. Collaborate with community and colleagues on technical specifications. Contribute to technical documentation to improve quality and accessibility. Deploy and operate services developed by the team. Provide technical advocacy to support product success. Outstanding academic results from both high school and university. Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM or equivalent narrative. Ability to travel twice a year for company events for up to two weeks each.
