International market intelligence, independent workstream ownership and high-quality research delivery across renewable energy markets.
- Conduct in-depth research on global renewable energy markets, with a particular focus on photovoltaics, battery energy storage, heat pumps and e-mobility.
- Monitor and analyse renewable energy installations and market volumes, electricity-market dynamics and prices, tenders, political and regulatory frameworks, market incentives, downstream stakeholders, macroeconomic developments, technology trends and key industry news.
- Identify reliable primary and secondary sources, including regulatory authorities, industry associations, data providers, company publications and specialist media.
- Evaluate sources critically and ensure that all research outputs are transparent, traceable and properly documented.
- Maintain and regularly update structured databases containing renewable energy market, regulatory, technology and stakeholder information.
- Collect, validate, clean and structure quantitative and qualitative data.
- Spport the development of market estimates, market shares, forecasts, rankings and comparative market assessments.
- Document data sources, assumptions, methodologies and update processes.
- Improve the accessibility and reusability of data across different research products and client projects.
- Independently plan and manage defined research workstreams and selected projects from initial research planning through to final delivery.
- Translate project objectives into clear tasks, milestones and deliverables.
- Coordinate inputs from colleagues and contributors and proactively follow up on timelines and open items.
- Identify risks, data gaps and potential delays at an early stage and communicate them transparently.
- Review and quality-check research and data work packages prepared by junior or supporting resources where required.
- Support senior analysts and project leads in the delivery and further development of larger recurring products and complex client assignments.
- Take increasing ownership of recurring products or project modules based on experience and demonstrated performance.
- Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, market summaries, articles and other research-based knowledge pieces.
- Translate complex market information into clear findings, visualisations and management-relevant insights.
- Contribute to whitepapers, client-specific studies, market assessments, workshops and Advisory-related projects.
- Support the combination of different data sources and research assets to answer specific client and business questions.
- Collaborate with colleagues responsible for Primary Research, product development and client solutions.
- Support selected research-based awards and ranking programmes.
- Conduct company, market and technology research required for award evaluations.
- Coordinate defined communication with applicants, industry experts and evaluators.
- Support the documentation, evaluation and quality-assurance processes associated with awards and rankings.
- Contribute to the standardisation and continuous improvement of research, data-management and reporting processes.
- Identify repetitive research or data tasks that can be supported through digital tools, automation or AI-assisted workflows.
- Use AI-supported research tools responsibly, ensuring that all information is verified through reliable sources.
- Support the development of templates, dashboards, documentation and reusable research workflows.
- Share knowledge, sources and best practices proactively with the wider team.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy markets, particularly photovoltaics and battery energy storage. Knowledge of heat pumps or e-mobility is an advantage.
- Strong research skills and the ability to identify, evaluate and synthesise information from a wide variety of sources.
- Very good quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
- Ability to manage defined projects and workstreams independently, including priorities, timelines, contributors and deliverables.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- High level of ownership, reliability and proactive communication.
- Ability to identify risks or unclear requirements and raise them early.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Ability to prepare clear, well-structured reports, presentations and management summaries.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; good knowledge of Microsoft Word.
- Experience with data visualisation, Power BI, statistical software, databases, automation tools or AI-supported research workflows is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently in a remote and international environment while remaining closely connected to the wider team.

- Master’s degree in economics, business administration, energy economics, environmental sciences, data analytics, public policy or another relevant discipline.
- Two to four years of professional experience in renewable energy market research, market intelligence, consulting, Advisory or a comparable analytical role.
- Demonstrable experience in at least one of the following areas: photovoltaics, battery energy storage, electricity markets, heat pumps, e-mobility, or renewable energy policy and regulation.
- Experience in a reputable research, consulting, energy, data or market-intelligence organisation is preferred.
- Previous responsibility for defined projects, workstreams or recurring research products is strongly preferred.
- India-based, remote-working position.
- Full-time employment, 40 working hours per week.
- Regular collaboration with colleagues based in India and Germany.
- Willingness to maintain sufficient working-hour overlap with Central European business hours.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, where required.
