Responsibilities, Skills, and Abilities:

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing various diesel-powered, hydraulic and pneumatic rental equipment, specifically forklifts (preferably JCB SkyTrak), manlifts (Genie and JLG), telehandlers, lighting towers, and compressors, and Rig Equipment (Diesel driven pumps/electric screen washers/pressure washers/ pneumatic mud buckets) among others. A solid combination of these is a MUST.
Inspect returned rental equipment for damage, wear, and mechanical issues.
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, transmissions, brakes, and undercarriages.
Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled services.
Troubleshoot equipment using diagnostic tools, service manuals, and electronic systems.
Prepare equipment for rental by ensuring it is clean, operational, and meets safety requirements.
Complete work orders and document parts, labor, repairs, and inspections.
Perform emergency and field repairs when necessary.
Inspect equipment before and after rental periods.
Communicate equipment problems and repair requirements with rental, service, and operations personnel.
Maintain a safe, organized shop and follow company safety procedures.
Maintain knowledge of manufacturer specifications and recommended maintenance procedures.

Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age and able to maintain insurability with Company insurance.
Must have at least two (2) years’ experience repairing general construction equipment.
Must have diesel repair experience including common rail fuel systems and the use of electronic diagnostic tools.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Valid drivers license
Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to find root cause for equipment failures
Ability to work overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification
Capable of performing a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, reaching, bending, climbing and kneeling
Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics, wiring, and working on heavy equipment
Proficient in reading and understand technical documents, diagrams, and service manuals
Welding, cutting, and fabrication skill
Must provide own basic tools and storage for them.
