Repair and Maintenance Manager

Join TOMRA Collection as our Repair & Maintenance Manager and lead our national repair and maintenance program and play a key role in ensuring our network of return points continues to deliver a great experience for customers across Australia. This is an opportunity to combine leadership, project delivery, problem solving, and continuous improvement in a role where no two days are the same

You'll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of repair, maintenance, remediation, and site improvement projects across our national network. One day you might be coordinating urgent repairs to keep a site operational, and the next you'll be delivering a major upgrade, managing contractors, or identifying ways to improve asset performance across the business.

Working closely with Operations, Safety, Product Experts, and external partners, you'll help ensure our sites remain safe, efficient, and customer-friendly while contributing to TOMRA's mission of building a world without waste.

Some other duties include:

  • Leading the national repair and maintenance program across TOMRA-operated return points.
  • Driving site improvement initiatives, remediation works, and operational enhancements.
  • Managing contractors and coordinating works across multiple locations.
  • Partnering with stakeholders across the business to deliver practical and cost-effective solutions.
  • Monitoring performance, budgets, and project outcomes to support informed decision-making.
  • Championing safety and continuous improvement across all repair and maintenance activities.
  • Helping shape scalable solutions that improve reliability, reduce costs, and enhance the customer experience.

What makes a great Repair and Maintenance Manager at TOMRA?

  • Project Management (construction) certificate or similar advantageous
  • Minimum 1 year experience managing a direct report
  • 5+ years' experience as a Project Manager, Facilities Manager, Construction Manager or similar.
  • Experience leading repair and maintenance programs in construction, facilities management, industrial environments, retail fit-out or directly comparable operational settings
  • Demonstrated competency managing 5-10 concurrent small projects (planning, scheduling, risk), overseeing and holding contractors accountable, and budget ownership.
  • Systems proficiency; strong data governance and reporting discipline.
  • Practical understanding of general construction activities and civil works, including drainage, asphalt, concrete, structural repair and site make-good requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management (internal/external), written and verbal communication, and cross‑functional collaboration.
