Repair Manager
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and oversee ship repair projects from start to completion.
Develop project schedules, timelines, and resource plans.
Coordinate with planning and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Allocate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors efficiently.
Lead and supervise technicians, welders, mechanics, and repair teams.
Monitor project progress to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
Prepare, manage, and control project budgets and costs.
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
Ensure all repair works comply with client specifications, class requirements, and industry standards.
Conduct inspections to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Act as the main point of contact for clients and provide regular project updates.
Resolve technical and operational issues promptly to minimize project delays.
Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation plans.
Ensure compliance with HSE policies and shipyard safety regulations.
Prepare project reports, progress updates, and completion documentation.
Drive continuous improvement in repair processes, productivity, and cost efficiency.
Coach, mentor, and develop team members to improve performance and technical competency.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marine & Offshore / Naval Architecture or equivalent
At least 3 years working experience in Repair / New Ship Building and fabrication
Must process and be competent with WSH certification as Hot work assessor and confined space assessor
Proficiency in MS Office, Excel & SAPB1 is a must
Proficiency in spoken and written English
Strong time management, focus and ability to multi-task
Team players
Independent and able to resolve issues
Able to perform shift & / OT duties where required.
Able to travel offshore / anchorage for work matters where assigned.
