Reporter, Law Middle East
ITP Media Group is looking for an ambitious,
commercially aware Reporter to join its B2B portfolio on Law Middle East.
With a growing footprint across the GCC and MENA
region, Law Middle East serves senior legal professionals, including managing
partners, general counsel, legal directors, and regulatory leaders. The title
sits at the centre of the region’s fast-evolving legal landscape, covering
major law firm developments, regulatory changes, dispute resolution, corporate
transactions, and the individuals shaping the sector.
The ideal candidate will have a strong instinct for
news, an understanding of professional services reporting, and the confidence
to build relationships with senior legal figures. This role requires a
journalist who can break exclusive stories, interpret complex regulatory
developments clearly, and produce insightful, agenda-setting content for a
highly sophisticated audience.
Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pitch, write
and edit daily content for digital, and contribute monthly reports for print.
- Research and
conduct interviews with relevant industry sources, verify facts and ensure
accuracy across all published content.
- Drive Law
Middle East to be first to break major people moves, firm launches, regulatory
updates, disputes and deal-related news, maintaining a strong network of
trusted industry contacts.
- Monitor
industry trends, breaking news, and audience interests, identity new approaches
and develop original, engaging stories.
- Collaborate
with the social and video team to create rich, multi-platform content packages
for big exclusives.
- Meet weekly content
volume and audience targets, ensuring all content reflects the overall
editorial strategy.
- Ensure all
editorial output adheres to legal and local regulatory guidelines, maintaining
the highest standards of accuracy and professional integrity.
- Support
the Editor and sales team by being an ambassador for Law Middle East by
supporting and helping to develop revenue-generating content strategies and
establishing good relationships with PRs.
- Attend
relevant events and conferences, occasionally outside standard working hours.
KEY SKILLS
- One-to-three
years of editorial experience in a newsroom environment.
- Strong
writing and interviewing skills with a portfolio of proven work.
- Ability
to meet deadlines and respond well to a fast-paced environment
- Highly
organised and able to manage multiple content projects at once.
- Understanding
of SEO best practices.
- Creative
thinker with passion for storytelling.
- Self-starter
and proactive.
- Strong
research skills and attention to detail.
- Fluent
in English.
