Reporter - PerthNow papers
Seven West Media is looking for a reporter to join our dynamic, free PerthNow suburban papers.
An ideal entry-level position for a journalism graduate or a position for a more experienced reporter who is plugged in to local issues, this role focuses on coverage of council and the community.
About the role:
Source and produce stories on local news including council, courts and community issues.
Work with the team to produce a suite of newspapers that keep our suburban centres informed.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with community leaders.
The ability to balance multiple priorities, deadlines and platforms, while enjoying a Monday-Friday roster.
About you:
A journalism degree or some journalism experience.
The ability to work alone or part of a small team.
Good written and communication skills.
An eye for detail, a head for news, a hunger for a good yarn and a natural curiosity for the world around you.
