Reporter
You will track banking, payments, crypto, and venture capital to break news and deliver definitive coverage. You will cultivate sources among industry insiders, founders, regulators, and executives; develop enterprise stories, regulatory deep dives, and analytical pieces; and contribute reporting to newsletters and digital products. You will own a beat, build trusted relationships, and report on location when needed.

- Break scoops and deliver sharp, definitive news coverage
- Build a network of industry insiders, founders, regulators, and executives
- Meet sources in person and build trusted relationships
- Pitch and execute high-impact features, regulatory deep dives, and analytical pieces
- Contribute reporting to newsletters and digital products
- Develop deep sources and own a beat
Requirements
- Business and financial literacy
- Ability to read a balance sheet
- Understanding of funding rounds and how money moves
- Track record of producing clean and accurate copy under tight deadlines
- Experience on a business beat or an internship at a major financial wire, business news organization, or technology publication
- Curiosity and skepticism
- Strong news judgment
- Ability to separate signal from noise in a fast-moving industry
