Research Analyst
You will conduct fundamental research and financial modeling on US Energy stocks, mega-cap technology companies, and semiconductor companies. You will develop earnings models, valuation frameworks, scenario analyses, investment theses, and trade ideas; monitor sector catalysts and macroeconomic developments; collaborate with portfolio managers and traders on position sizing and risk management; maintain industry relationships; present actionable research; and improve analytical tools and coverage frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Conduct fundamental research and financial modeling on US Energy stocks, Magnificent 7 companies, and semiconductor companies
- Develop and maintain earnings models, valuation frameworks, and scenario analyses
- Monitor earnings releases, capex cycles, supply and demand dynamics, regulatory developments, technological trends, and OPEC+ policy
- Generate investment theses and actionable trade ideas
- Build and maintain relationships with company management teams, sell-side analysts, and industry contacts
- Track macroeconomic and geopolitical developments and assess their portfolio impact
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and traders on position sizing, risk management, and entry and exit strategies
- Present research findings through written notes and verbal briefings
- Refine coverage frameworks, data sources, and analytical tools
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5+ years of equity research experience
- Coverage experience in Energy, large-cap Technology, and/or Semiconductor sectors
- Financial modeling and valuation skills
- Understanding of commodity price dynamics and energy markets
- Understanding of mega-cap technology competitive positioning and AI-driven growth
- Understanding of semiconductor cycle and supply chain dynamics
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment

- Experience at a sell-side research firm, hedge fund, or proprietary trading firm
