Role Purpose

The purpose of ERDH research associate (field operation) to work closely and collaborate with DH lead, DH lab supervisor and field technician to produce the fix lines seed support corn breeding team and ensuring HSES compliance

Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with DH lead and lab supervisor for schedule about ERDH operation activities.
  • Coordinate with agronomy team for land preparations of induction nursery and baby nursery.
  • Manage E2E process for induction nursery. Crop management (irrigation, chemical and fertilization) for induction plants and inducer plants, pollination and harvest induction ear deliver to ERDH laboratory base on requirement from Lab.
  • Manage E2E process for baby nursery. Start from transplanting the hardening plants to baby nursery. Baby nursery crop management (irrigation, chemical and fertilization) pollination and harvest individual ear.
  • Coordinate with MINT team for drying process.
  • Collaborate with DH lead and lab supervisor for seed processing, categories and MINT register.
  • Manage purchasing consumable for fields activities (irrigation tape, drip tape, pollination bag, chemical and fertilizer).
  • Data collection for induction nursery and baby nursery.
  • HSE role and responsibility -Take personal responsibilities and co-operate to prevent harm to themselves, comply country and site HSE regulations and be cooperative with HSE, prompt report all incidents/accidents/near misses and hazards to line manager.
  • Quality role and responsibility: Must take personal responsibility for ensuring that they follow and put into action the Quality Policy within the scope of their role, must understand how they contribute to quality and the company quality culture, are empowered to raise concerns and make decisions in support of quality.

Knowledgecskills & Experience :

Critical Knowledge:

  • M.SC in Agriculture, Agronomy, Science or related fields etc.
  • Experienced in corn nursery field management.
  • Experienced in technical works of corn breeding and disease screening or related fields.
