Research Associate Quantitative Analysis

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Research Associate Quantitative Analysis based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to research and evaluation projects focused on improving outcomes for learners and communities.
You will apply quantitative research methods to design studies, develop data collection instruments, and generate rigorous, actionable insights.
The position combines statistical analysis, research design, data visualization, reporting, and direct collaboration with clients and project teams.
You’ll work across education-focused projects, with opportunities to develop expertise in areas such as ELA and math outcomes, academic transitions, and postsecondary success.
The role provides meaningful autonomy, allowing you to define methodologies and manage day-to-day analytical activities with guidance from experienced project leads.
You’ll also contribute to research dissemination, practitioner engagement, proposals, and the development of your subject-matter expertise and professional profile.

• Independently define and apply appropriate research methodologies for assigned tasks, including correlational and quasi-experimental approaches, with quality review from project leads.
• Design, administer, and refine surveys and other quantitative data collection instruments using tools such as Qualtrics.
• Collect, clean, code, organize, manage, and analyze quantitative datasets using appropriate statistical methods.
• Conduct multivariable statistical analyses, including regression, multilevel modeling, and other applied quantitative techniques.
• Use qualitative and mixed-method approaches when needed to strengthen research findings and project deliverables.
• Develop data visualizations and dashboards using tools such as Tableau to communicate findings effectively.
• Write sections of research reports, research summaries, articles, and other deliverables, including clear presentations of statistical findings.
• Present research results to internal and external audiences, including clients and education partners, in collaboration with project leads.
• Participate in client interactions, meetings, webinars, workshops, and other engagement activities related to research projects.
• Track research tasks, timelines, documentation, data management activities, and project deliverables to support high-quality execution.
• Provide documented feedback and informal mentoring to colleagues on specific research methods, tasks, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance project outcomes and navigate operational requirements effectively.
• Build relationships with practitioners, education organizations, nonprofit partners, and fellow researchers to support research dissemination and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to conference presentations, blogs, thematic summaries, and other activities that strengthen visibility and knowledge in relevant subject areas.
• Support proposal development and business development activities under appropriate supervision, leveraging prior project experience and identifying potential opportunities.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Education, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative social science field, combined with 1–3 years of relevant research experience.
• Strong foundation in quantitative research design and applied statistical analysis, including experience with regression, multilevel modeling, quasi-experimental designs, or comparable methods.
• Working knowledge of statistical and analytical software such as Stata, SPSS, R, and/or NVivo.
• Experience developing and administering surveys and other quantitative research instruments, preferably using Qualtrics.
• Experience with data visualization and dashboard development, preferably using Tableau.
• Knowledge or experience related to ELA and math outcomes, academic transitions, and/or postsecondary outcomes such as matriculation, retention, and graduation is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work with limited supervision, independently define appropriate methodologies, and manage day-to-day research and analytical responsibilities.
• Strong organizational, time-management, documentation, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain statistical results clearly to clients, stakeholders, and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and maintain productive relationships with external clients and partners.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to anticipate challenges and develop practical solutions based on research and precedent.
• Comfort working on fast-paced projects with shifting priorities and quick turnaround requirements.
• Ability to support focus groups and other qualitative data collection activities when required.

• Ability to work effectively with organizational systems, technology, and cross-functional resources.

Benefits:

• Salary range of $92,000–$143,000, with a typical hiring range of $92,000–$115,000.
• Compensation determined based on factors including education, experience, internal equity, and organizational needs.
