About the Role
Amel International Services Limited, a food manufacturing company specialising in baking products and breakfast cereals, is seeking an experienced R&D Supervisor to lead product innovation, formulation development, and product improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead new product development and improve existing products.
- Develop and optimise product formulations, processes, and production costs.
- Conduct laboratory and factory-scale trials, including shelf-life studies.
- Evaluate raw materials, ingredients, and packaging compatibility.
- Maintain technical documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with Quality Control, Production, Procurement, and other departments to support product commercialisation.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Food Science and Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in food manufacturing and R&D.
- Practical experience in product formulation, process optimisation, and product trials.
- Experience with powdered food products and dry blending is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.
Note: The R&D unit will operate independently of the Quality Control Department.
