Research Engineer (Data Analytics and AI Innovation)

An application for a research engineer position is welcome. The selected candidate will work closely with the professor(s) at the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering and Management (ISEM), National University of Singapore (NUS) on cutting‑edge research projects on AI technological innovations, data analytics, entrepreneurship and disruptions in firms and economy under the current global order influenced by the U.S. and China, in the context of technology sectors. He/​she should have good programming/coding skills such as SQL, Python and/or Java and be competent with statistical packages like STATA or R (STATA preferred). Skill and experience with management and strategy research, economic modelling and statistical analyses are essential. Familiarity with data mining, machine learning and computation techniques, especially in the context of patents, publications, citations and networks is a plus. A master’s (MSc.) degree in management science/data analytics, industrial systems engineering and management, business, policy, social science, or related fields is desired. Prior experience as a research assistant in these related field is a plus. Prior experience working on research projects in an academic or industry setting is a plus.
