Research Fellow (1-year contract), Lee Kong Chian School of Business

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the design and development of a modular simulation platform.
  • Develop and implement simulation and optimization models.
  • Translate healthcare system processes into scalable simulation architecture.
  • Conduct literature review and integrate relevant research into model development.
  • Support data integration, calibration, and validation using healthcare datasets.
  • Contribute to academic publications, reports, and conference presentations.
  • Coordinate with collaborators from healthcare institutions and research partners.
  • Guide development processes including Al-assisted coding and software implementation.
  • Any other duties assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or related quantitative disciplines.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Experience in simulation modelling (preferably discrete-event simulation).
  • Strong software/system design capability (e.g., object-oriented programming, modular architecture).
  • Familiarity with optimization and quantitative modelling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to contribute to academic writing and research publications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in interdisciplinary research teams.
  • Experience in healthcare analytics or healthcare operations research is an advantage.
